- deprivation of housing by court decision;
- voluntary refusal of registration as a result of divorce or other actions of the homeowner;
- Moving to another city.
All these reasons that lead to deprivation of registration indicate that a citizen urgently needs to purchase registration if he does not move to another city within seven days.
The countdown period begins from the moment a person arrives at a new place of residence, and not from the time the registration is lost.

But there are options when obtaining registration is much easier in the sense that a longer period is given for this and, in general, the law is lenient towards those who use this right. However, here, too, the leniency of the law is due to the fact that temporary registration is given to a person who has arrived in another city for a while.

How to register in another city - what documents are needed and procedure
According to the legislation of the Russian Federation, when arriving in another city, each resident must obtain a temporary registration within 90 days. Otherwise, the city will have to leave. Personal information is entered into the profile - full name, passport and SNILS data, after which the identity is confirmed.
To do this, you need to order a code on the portal, which will be sent to your specified address in the form of a letter (via Russian Post). If you are a client of financial institutions Pochta-Bank, Sberbank or Tinkoff, the procedure is simplified, since confirmation is carried out in Internet banking.

Some exceptions
There are cases that do not fit into certain norms. But even in these circumstances, the laws of the Russian Federation are quite lenient towards their citizens and make the following assumptions:
A newborn child can only be registered with his parents
- when a person does not have a specific place of residence, he is allowed to be assigned to a social institution (night shelter, nursing home, etc.);
- in the case when the subject lives in the region, and he is registered in one of the settlements, then when moving to another point in the same region, he does not need temporary registration;

But there are some exceptions related to the status of the person himself. Who is he? A homeless person who does not have a fixed place of residence, relatives who are ready to accept him, or is a minor child. In the case of an infant or minor, it is generally possible to obtain registration automatically at the place of birth and residence of the parents without the consent of the receiving party.
How can the owner of an apartment register in it and what is needed for this?
In order to register permanently in your own apartment, you must contact the passport office at the location of your home. If there is none, you can apply for registration through the territorial branch of the Migration Service (FMS) or at the nearest multifunctional center (MFC).
- Extract from previous place of residence. When registering at the same territorial point, it is not necessary to sign out in advance; upon registration, the check out will be done automatically by the employees of the passport office. But sometimes registration without an extract takes up to one month, so it’s better to do the registration yourself.
- Submitting an application to the registration authority. The application is submitted in the prescribed form. In the case when a person’s citizenship does not change from Russian to another, and he finds himself in another city outside his permanent place of residence for a long period of time, more than three months (90 days), temporary registration without permanent registration is applicable:
- in this case, a person can live without registration for three months, after this period it is necessary to obtain temporary registration, regardless of where the citizen is staying, even if he is applying for registration in the Moscow region;

IMPORTANT! Be prepared for the fact that the answer may come in the negative, even if you called the passport office in advance. This happens quite often with absentee discharge. You should also take into account that you are sending your passport, which means you must understand that for some period you will be walking around without this main document confirming your identity. Registration in Moscow
Registration in Moscow for a person who does not have permanent housing in the city is possible only under the conditions of temporary registration. Obtaining a Moscow residence permit is permitted in the following cases:
- during a long business trip;
- the need for treatment that requires a long time;
- work in the capital, which also requires quite a lot of time;
- studies.
